Somehow Money Reminds me of Video Games, and Video Games Remind me of Poetry

This is what I'm listening to at the moment. One of my friends called me a rich girl when I mentioned I had $30 with me. Been singing it ever since.

His name is Jake. He skipped school to play Mario Bros. all day. He's got about 18 lives and a score that's beyond counting. It uses up all the digits on the screen. His goal is to find the secret room in every level.

Whatever.

The semester is coming to a close. Only three more weeks until Christmas vacation! Everyone's getting excited.

We're reading
Mark Doty in English class. Great poetry, really. I'm really looking forward to analyzing his stuff more.

There is also Judy Grahn. There is a certain poem by her that I once read, and now I can't remember it. Sigh.

I Love to Shop

I'm listening to "Ghosting" by Mother Mother. :)

I just got back from a fun-filled day at Aaron's!

I ate fish sticks for the first time! They were pretty gross. I don't really like fish to begin with.

Aaron had his neckbrace off. He's been in it for a while because he got in a car wreck in August or September. I can't remember. He got it off last Wednesday.

We mostly just spent the day in the bed. That's what we usually find ourselves doing everytime we're together--not that--just lying in bed together.

Aaron says we should go shopping next time instead of lazing around all day. We both like to shop, but there aren't many places in this town to shop.

I'd like to go to Nashville, because it has an Urban Outfitters. LOVE!

We need a mall.

I told my mom I wanted to make a documentary to send to city officials explaining our stupid pathetic town needs a mall if it expects to survive much longer. She laughed at me.

"This town is for old people," she said. "Just move to Nashville if you want to waste time and money."

Well, shoot. I think it's worth a try.

Has anyone seen The Great Happiness Space: Tale of an Osaka Love Theif? I happened to catch it on HBO a few months ago and fell in love with it. It's about host clubs in Japan. It reminded me a lot of male geisha.
Here's an excerpt:

Well, that's all for now!

I have to write an essay for my evil English teacher. Happy Thanksgiving!

Boy Fashion! It's a Hit!

My boyfriend recently decided to change everything about his style.

His name is Aaron, and he has straight blonde hair that reaches his nipples. He wears band tees--Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Tom Petty, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Primus, etc.--and baggy jeans. He wears the same pair of Nike's every day. Every. Day.

People like to call him a hippie. Now, there's this "Bohemian Movement" going around my little town here lately. The rich kids parade around with braids, simple cotton dresses, and moccassin boots. Aaron fits in but doesn't. He's much better at standing out.

(More on Hippies)

He's decided to cut his hair--short. Like to his neck short, but he promises me that it will still be shaggy. Yesterday he came back from a Banana Republic shopping spree. He looks both awesome and frightening.

He says it's because he's tired of his past look. He's tired of long hair and and band tees. He said he wants to project a different image. I think I like the change, but his brother says it's my fault his sense of style is "slipping."

I think he looks great! It's no one's "fault," merely Aaron's decision to change his look, ya know? Maybe I influenced him, maybe I didn't.

(More on The Look.)

Well, on a completely unrelated note, there's this school in Michigan I loooove, but I'm kinda too old to have a hope of going there. If there's anyone near Michigan who wants to go to an art boarding school, CHECK THIS OUT!!

Finding Goals Are Important in Acheiving Goals

Now I am listening to Peter Bjorn and John!

Today while I was waiting for the bus--it was really cold and the time was EXACTLY 6:24 AM; the bus was 30 seconds late--a flock of crows flew over my head. I held my breath as I always do and waited for them to pass. Don't you do that? Hold your breath when birds fly over you and hope they don't crap on your head? Aren't you kinda torn between looking up and ignoring them? If you ignore them, you may not see the poop flying at you. If you watch them, you might find that there is shit in your eye!

Today is Friday. Allison, who is coming over to my house for some serious Super Smash Brothers: Brawl (SSBB for short) action, saw me in the cafeteria this morning and we caught up. I haven't spoken to her in length for a very long time. We've really changed as people, both our grades have plummetted, but for different reasons.
She hangs out with gamers, which is strange because she does not play video games or even read comic books. I have several comic books at home, including Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and an extensive collection of manga and video games.

*my favorite character is Peach*

However, I am with those that "those Christians" call "the Wrong Crowd." What the fuck does that mean? I really must wonder. What makes some people right and some people wrong, and where does someone find the authority to decide who's "the Wrong Crowd"? Every clique seems to have it, a kid who is God in His or Her own little Universe and has a little entourage of His or Her loyal minions.

It makes me wonder who my God is. Or am I God? I doubt that, because my entourage would be pretty pathetic in that case. Ha.

Anyway, I saw those crows again later, and I figured it must be an omen for my death. Well, I'm gonna die anyway. I should probably try to complete some goals before I kick the bucket. Like The Bucket List.

In English class, Paul David said the longest sentence William Faulkner ever wrote spanned 8 pages! Isn't that shocking, but not really?! Sure, Faulkner tends to be long-winded and complex, but 8 pages??

I'm not sure if what Paul David says is true, so you may want to look it up for yourself..

I love clothes by the way! I got Allison this cute shirt from Forever21 yesterday! It was fairly cheap for my salary (which equals approximately $0 a year). It looks like this!

It just hit me! Along with tracking the failures and successes of my age group, I hereby swear to track sales and music like no other! Oh, and I must let everyone know of upcoming video games! Oh, there's one goal that I've established, which is a major point in Pavilion!

Therefore, today was a SUCCESS!

P.S. Thank you Photobucket. I love you.

Hello, this is how I say hi..

The world is confusing, and often times it's scary.

But there is hope.

I live in a small town where there's nothing to do but smoke pot and loiter at the local Wal-Mart..

I am 17. I have been 17 for 5 days.
I know practically nothing, but I know I have a life to live, and while I'm at it, I should attempt to document it the best I know how.

Via a blog. Enough said, no?

Hello!
